This form of public transport should never have been gotten rid of. It’s so nice to be pulled by a horse.

I’m always envious of people who live in castle-like houses. It’s the child in me.

It looks so flimsy out there all alone. At least the sea is calm and flat.

More fishing in a small boat.

An early electrified railway. It is a nice sedate affair that takes you up one side of the island.

There is nothing nicer than looking at a coast line, wondering what it is like other the other side.

This is a wall at the Laxey Mine showing the wheel and the railway. If you get up close you can see the amount of work that went into making it.

The wheel can be seen from far away as it is over 40 feet high. It certainly is a striking sight.

The mine where the water wheel is, had its own railway to take the product to the coast for onward travel.

This is the wheel in action. It doesn’t look like much water is going across it though. I guess that what happens when it is just a museum piece.
